Gary is the Managing Director of MDR Certification Engineers Pty Ltd, a company offering quality assurance and inspection to meet the needs of customers in the Mining, Construction, Fabrication and Preventative Maintenance Industries throughout Australia. As a niche business with offices in both Australia and New Zealand, the firm is also ISO accredited to 17020 and 17025.

The company established itself providing third party quality assurance for the oil and gas industry primarily, since then their services include third party QA Classified Plant Inspection, pressure vessel inspection and NDT services for mining industries, fabrication, chemical refineries and oil tank storage facilities and refineries. Problem solving for the clients and maintaining a "Yes we can, 24 hour at call service" has earned Gary and his team credentials as a stand out company against the larger international suppliers of this type of service.

Joining a Masters Degree in Business from Deakin University with six years of experience in Inspection, Gary set out to offer specialized services with the launch of MDR in 2001. Initially responding to the demands of companies in the Oil and Gas Industry, Gary’s unique blend of tenacity and industry knowledge, led to the wide expanse of clientele the company currently encompasses.

Growing the business, staff and clients, in the GFC while other international combines in the industry, within Australia, folded, downsized and restructured is amongst Gary's most memorable achievements. Achieving such feats has been a combination of having the right people to work with and coming up with solutions for clients with a higher standard of inspection and reporting than their competitors.

Drawing on innate interpersonal skills, Gary oversees a team of qualified and experienced professionals, offering guidance and support in alignment with the company’s mission. Moving forward Gary would like to build the company up higher with designation as the first choice for third party inspection and quality assurance, pressure vessel inspection and NDT in Australia and New Zealand.

Gary is affiliated with the International Standard Organization, Mining Australia and Chronos Oil and Gas. In his free time, Gary enjoys playing golf.
